Training and staff development

Gordon & McCallum have extensive experience of training and mentoring. We understand that staff development is more than just about learning technical skills. Our training programmes and workshops are designed above all to enhance staff confidence and productivity. MR skills and theory are put in a business and marketing context in all sessions.

Our training programmes are partly based around our experience in conducting large-scale, formal training on research skills and methods for researchers and clients around the globe. More important however, has been our direct experience of what it takes to develop a high level research professional. Between them, Alastair Gordon and David McCallum have trained and mentored many direct reports who have gone on to become country managers or higher in a number of research organisations. This gives us four important advantages:

We are focused on ensuring that training on research methods and systems relates directly to the reality of being an executive in a busy research company

Because we believe that training that aims to enhance productivity and efficiency (as well as improving research expertise) needs to be interactive and intense, we conduct face-to-face training sessions, covering a variety of topics and areas.
